TMS September 2026 highlights
Today
September brought TMS FNC Data Grid 2.0, TMS AI Studio 2.0, an open beta of TMS FNC Localization and a new hosting layer for TMS Sparkle servers. Every actively maintained TMS product now supports Delphi 13.2, and TMS Smart Setup is now the only installer for most of our products.
Below is a short overview of what we published this month, with a link to each full post.
All actively maintained products support Delphi 13.2

Most TMS products already worked with Delphi 13.2 on release day. TMS WEB Core needed an update, and v3.0.4.0 is now available. It works with Delphi 13.0, 13.1 and 13.2, so nothing on our side holds back a move to 13.2.
TMS Smart Setup is now the way to install TMS products

TMS WEB Core, TMS MQTT, TMS Async and TMS Analytics & Physics moved to TMS Smart Setup this month. They join TMS VCL UI Pack, the TMS FNC products, TMS BIZ and TMS FlexCel. The classic setup.exe installers are no longer available for these products, so uninstall an old installation from the Windows Control Panel before you switch.
You can install from the command line or from TMS Dashboard, which runs TMS Smart Setup in the background:
tms self-update
tms install tms.vcl.uipack tms.webcore tms.fnc.*The post also covers installing older versions, snapshots, parallel builds, CycloneDX SBOM files with tms sbom-generate, and tms doctor for fixing IDE configuration problems.
TMS Academic products work with Delphi 13 Community Edition

Students and teachers can use nine TMS products for free in non-commercial projects, including TMS WEB Core, TMS FNC UI Pack, TMS VCL UI Pack and TMS AI Studio. All of them now work with Delphi 13 Community Edition, the version most students have installed. You register with a school or university email address, and the license runs for one year.
TMS FNC Data Grid 2.0
TMS FNC UI Pack 7.3 includes TMS FNC Data Grid 2.0, with a conditional formatting engine for TTMSFNCDataGrid. There are ten rule types, among them color scales, data bars, icon sets, top and bottom rankings, duplicates and expressions that combine several columns. Rules stay in effect while users scroll, sort or filter, and you no longer need OnGetCellLayout code for this.
TMSFNCDataGrid1.ConditionalFormatting.AddColorScale(
COL_SALES, gcRed, gcYellow, gcLimegreen); The engine works in VCL, FireMonkey and TMS WEB Core. VCL and FireMonkey also get a visual rule editor at design time.
Data Report with Filtering and Conditional Formatting

Gjalt extended the free database report generator sample with filtering, advanced filtering, conditional formatting and the rule editor at runtime. Each of these takes one line, for example Grid.Options.Filtering.Advanced := True;. Formatting rules are saved to JSON and filters to an INI file, so users get their report view back the next time. The source is on GitHub.
From Data Selection to PDF: Combining FNC DataGrid, Chart and Popup Menu

In this sample the user selects a cell range in the grid and opens a TTMSFNCPopupMenu. Its menu items contain live line, bar and pie chart previews of the selection, embedded through the item's Control property. Clicking one writes the grid and that chart to an A4 PDF with the FNC PDF engine, without screenshots.
Filtering in Delphi: Building a Highlighting Property-Based Search

Part 8 of the TMS FNC Filtering in Delphi series builds a live search for TTMSFNCPlanner. One TTMSFNCFilterRulesManager rule, [Title] LIKE '%{Search}%', checks the Title property of each planner item. A placeholder reads the search text from a TEdit, and a callback dims the appointments that don't match instead of hiding them.
TMS FNC Localization open beta

After a closed beta that started on September 3, TMS FNC Localization is now an open beta. The product grew out of a tool Erwin Denissen of High-Logic built for his own FontCreator software. It works in three steps, each with its own component: collect the texts, translate them in an editor, and apply a language at runtime.
Translations can be generated with your own API key for OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Mistral or DeepSeek, or locally with Ollama or llama.cpp. You can also send XLIFF files to a translator. The editor checks placeholders, format specifiers, accelerator keys and line breaks, and supports plural forms. Download the trial from the product page, or get it through Smart Setup with a TMS ALL-ACCESS license.
TMS AI Studio 2.0

TMS AI Studio 2.0 supports MCP revision 2026-07-28 and the four revisions before it, back to 2024-11-05, on both server and client. Recompile an existing MCP server or client and it agrees on the newest revision both sides know, with no code changes. TTMSMCPClient now handles OAuth by itself: when a server answers 401, it opens the browser for sign-in and retries the request with the new token.
OpenRouter.ai is the tenth AI service behind TTMSMCPCloudAI. You switch with one property, Service := aiOpenRouter, and the default model is z-ai/glm-5.3-flash. The demos now live in their own GitHub repository, so a reinstall won't overwrite your edits.
TMS Sparkle: one executable for console, Windows service and Linux daemon

The next TMS Sparkle release adds the Sparkle.Host unit. A server becomes one project and one executable that runs as a console app when you press F9, as a Windows service after MyServer.exe --install, and as a systemd daemon on Linux with a unit file it generates through --systemd-unit. Background jobs run in the same process as THostedWorker descendants.
New wizards for Sparkle, XData and RemoteDB servers are under File > New > Other > TMS BIZ. Existing projects keep working, and the migration guide shows how to move them over.
TMS Cryptography Pack
Building a PKCS#12/PFX Exporter with TMS Cryptography Pack inside TX509 Certificate

Since version 5.3.0.0, TX509Certificate builds PKCS#12/PFX files itself. Up to 5.2, ExportToPFX called OpenSSL. Bernard explains each layer of the format, the tagging details that break files without raising an error, and the OpenSSL commands to check the result.
A quick look at PDF encryption and decryption with TMS Cryptography Pack

The new TPdfEncryptor class encrypts and decrypts PDF files with a password, one at a time or in batch, using EncryptFile and DecryptFile. It works in VCL, FMX and console applications.
Save 20% when combining select TMS products

When you buy two products that are often used together, the second one is 20% cheaper. There are ten combinations, such as TMS WEB Core with TMS BIZ Premium, and TMS FNC UI Pack with TMS FlexCel for VCL & FMX. A Single Developer License of TMS FNC Maps bought with TMS FNC UI Pack goes from 265 to 212. The discount appears in the cart without a coupon code and applies to new licenses.
