Put a TTMSFNCGantChart and TTMSFNCGanttChartDataBaseAdapter on the form together with a DataSource and with just a few properties you can start, no code needed.

The Database Adapter will automatically update all of the changes from the Gantt Chart to your database.

Connect a DataSource to the Adapter and link the database fields with the respective properties. 
For an ideal use we advise to have a field that has the database key and a field for the WBS (work breakdown structure e.g. 2.1). (These are the warning signs in the image above.)
The hint is related to the Duration field. With the property EndTimeType you have the option to use the Duration or the Planned End field to indicate how long the task takes. (The default value is Planned End as we assume that this is used more, but for a more optimal performance it is advised to use the Duration field as this will only use the worktime calculation once.)
